CELINE
CELINE is a luxury French fashion house founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana and her husband as a made-to-measure children’s shoe boutique. Vipiana remained the designer of Celine until her death in 1997 and was succeeded by Michael Kors who was eventually succeeded by British designer Phoebe Philo in 2008. The Philo era lasted until 2018 and remains iconic until today (with a faithful fan base, the so-called "Philophiles"). Today's creative direction of the brand is under Hedi Slimane, who was formerly at Yves Saint Laurent.
